Jaime Medina is a nationally respected specialist coach, recruiter, and entrepreneur based in San Diego, California. He is the founder of New Gen Kicking, Southern California’s premier training program for high school kickers and punters, and KT Recruiting, the world’s largest digital recruiting platform dedicated exclusively to specialist athletes.

Medina graduated from Point Loma High School in 2016 as a High School All-American punter and rare 5-star prospect in both kicking and punting. He earned preferred walk-on offers from Alabama, Nevada, and Howard University before committing to Sacramento State (D1 FCS) in 2017. That season, he went 7-for-9 on field goals, averaged 39 yards per punt, and delivered multiple touchbacks on kickoffs.

In 2018, Medina transferred to Southwestern College (JUCO), where he was named Special Teams Captain and played a key role in the Jaguars’ 9–3 season, flipping the field with big punts, drilling kickoffs deep, and connecting on multiple 40+ yard field goals, including a career-long 50-yarder. He later earned offers from Texas Tech, San Diego State, Penn State, USC, and Nicholls State, and closed out his playing career with a season of semi-pro football for the San Diego Silverbacks, finishing 100% on field goal attempts.

In 2020, Medina founded New Gen Kicking with a mission to develop specialists through year-round training, film development, and recruiting mentorship. Since then, New Gen has produced:

• 10 Division I kickers and punters (UCLA, Hawai‘i, Eastern Washington, Utah, Army, Jackson State & more)

• 7 additional specialists who’ve earned spots at Division II, Division III, and NAIA programs

While based in San Diego, Medina’s mentorship network stretches far beyond. Through KT Recruiting (Kicker Tracker Recruiting), he works with high school specialists from across Southern California and around the world—including athletes from Australia, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, and more. KT Recruiting offers these athletes digital exposure and personal brand-building opportunities, helping promote both highly ranked prospects and overlooked talent.

KT Recruiting now generates hundreds of thousands of views and has become a leading digital presence in specialist recruiting. The platform maintains direct relationships with players on full scholarships at elite programs like Texas, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Temple, UCLA, FAU, Ohio State, and others. Medina emphasizes that KT’s role isn’t on-field coaching—it’s about giving athletes visibility, credibility, and support as they navigate the recruiting journey. What makes these relationships special is Medina’s ability to connect with future NFL prospects early, during a time in their careers when “the game is still pure and fun.”

From 2021 to 2025, Medina served as Special Teams Assistant at Mira Mesa High School, and in 2025 was hired as the Special Teams Coordinator at Mater Dei Catholic High School, one of San Diego’s top CIF programs. He is CPR & First Aid certified, approved to coach within SDUSD, and remains active on the national camp circuit, with strong ties to college special teams coordinators, recruiters, and private coaches across the country.
